Position Summary:

This role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills, along with an ability to develop innovative solutions that challenge the status quo. The individual will collaborate closely with executives to strategize and create long-term plans that drive new levels of productivity and success for the company.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior management in the development of performance goals and long-term Engineering plans.
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Work with senior management in the development of financial and budgetary plans.
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending improvement solutions where appropriate.
  • Adhere to the company's policies and standards and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed.
  • Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
  • Partner with the operations team to drive increases in production efficiency.
  • Coaching the team to be a positive source of influence, leading their teams by example.
  • Lead the facility quality and engineering efforts to produce world-class products.
  • Manage ECN process and all sustaining engineering projects. Ex. Cost out programs, new customer onboarding, and private label program development.
  • Lead NPD program. Ex. Electrical disconnects, AC whips, conduit fittings.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Independent thought, good judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects are a must.
  • Must have a proven track record in Leading People and Production in a high-volume, durable goods manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen Teams, and standard work methodology.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software such as MS Office Suite and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of successful performance management techniques and ability to apply the organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
  • Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Understanding of the importance of insightful listening and communicating, and the ability to provide information and messages in a way that produces clarity and impact.
