Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a contract with a client in Boston, MA. This role involves developing ETL workflows and machine learning-driven data products to support cybersecurity decision-making and infrastructure protection.
Rate Range: $37/hour to 51/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows to support cybersecurity analytics and machine learning systems.
- Develop and maintain distributed data systems using tools like Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, and Delta Lake for structured and semi-structured data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, architects, and analysts to deliver secure, high-performance data products.
- Implement data governance, privacy, and security controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Optimize data processing for performance and reliability, including batch and streaming workflows across cloud-native environments.
- Document technical specifications and support procedures, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed data systems and analytics pipelines.
- Expertise in big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, Delta Lake, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Proven ability to design and implement secure, scalable ETL workflows and machine learning-driven data products for cybersecurity applications.
