Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer with over 12 years of extensive experience in native Android app development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable Android applications while leading development efforts and mentoring junior developers. You should have deep expertise in Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack Components, and a solid understanding of modern architectural patterns and mobile best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and build advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
Lead the architecture and development of complex mobile applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UI/UX, QA) to define, design, and ship new features.
Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Manage end-to-end release cycles and deployment to Google Play Store.
Mentor and guide junior Android developers, perform code reviews, and enforce coding standards.
Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and analytics tools.
Apply best practices in memory management, caching, and threading.
Implement security and data protection features in mobile apps.
Monitor app performance and optimize for speed, memory usage, and battery efficiency.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
12+ years of experience in Android application development.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
Deep understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack libraries (ViewModel, LiveData, Navigation, Room).
Experience with MVVM, MVP, or MVI architectures.
Familiarity with Coroutines, RxJava, Dagger/Hilt, Retrofit, and WorkManager.
Experience with CI/CD, unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), and UI testing (Espresso).
Knowledge of Material Design and ability to implement complex UI layouts.
Hands-on experience with analytics integration, crash management (Crashlytics), and memory leak detection tools (LeakCanary).
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Exposure to Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot performance and memory-related issues.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading mobile teams or projects.
Familiarity with Jetpack Compose.
Experience with modularization and multi-module apps.
Knowledge of mobile security standards and best practices.
Familiarity with tools like Firebase, Google Play Console, and performance monitoring tools.
