Senior DevOps Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Greenwood Village, CO.

Summary:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing scalable, secure cloud-native environments using modern DevOps practices. This role involves hands-on work with IaC, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and cross-functional collaboration to support development and operations teams.

Responsibilities:
* Senior DevOps Engineer will design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD
* Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues across AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) environments
* Implement cloud security and networking best practices, including IAM roles, VPC design, security groups, and NACLs
* Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using Helm, Terraform, and Kubernetes manifests
* Champion GitOps principles to drive deployment consistency and automation
* As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will improve observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, and Fluent Bit
* Mentor junior engineers and document engineering processes and best practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments
* Expert-level knowledge of AWS services including EKS, EC2, ALB, Route53, S3, RDS, and IAM
* Understanding of cloud security fundamentals and ability to implement guardrails (expert-level knowledge not required)
* Familiar with networking concepts in cloud environments
* Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
* High degree of ownership, proactivity, and problem-solving ability
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
