Job Description:

Our client is looking for a Data Engineer to join their growing team and help us build a new ELT based architecture from the ground up.

You will work with dbt, Fivetran, Snowflake, GitHub, and modern CI/CD & IAC tools to design, develop, test, deploy, and support data pipelines and models.

You will also collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and support data pipelines and models using dbt, Snowflake, Fivetran, and SNP Glue.

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and issues.

Implement data quality checks and tests using dbt and GitHub.

Document data pipeline and model logic, assumptions, and dependencies.

Follow and improve data engineering best practices and standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

3+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data analytics.

Proficient in SQL and dbt.

Experience with Fivetran, Snowflake, GitHub, and modern CI/CD & IAC tools.

Experience with Python or similar language (Java, Scala, Javascript, C++)

Experience with Census reverse ETL tool, retail financial data, SNP Glue, and SAP Business Warehouse (BW) is a plus.

Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
