Primary Responsibilities
As the Director of Reconstruction Operations, you will oversee all structural and reconstruction activities ensuring projects are executed efficiently, profitably, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Duties:
- Financial Leadership: Establish performance goals, manage budgets, and ensure overall departmental profitability.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day reconstruction projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks are met.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with property owners, adjusters, and partners to keep projects aligned and progressing smoothly.
- Project Support: Collaborate with Estimators and Project Managers to review estimates, support negotiations, and resolve field challenges.
- Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor team members, fostering collaboration and a culture of accountability.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination: Manage partnerships to optimize scheduling, resource allocation, and performance.
- Safety & Compliance: Conduct site visits to ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards (OSHA/MIOSHA or equivalent).
- Process Improvement & Growth: Identify opportunities for business development, contribute to networking initiatives, and refine standard operating procedures for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in construction project management and estimating, preferably within restoration or reconstruction.
- State Builder s License or equivalent professional credentials.
- Bachelor s degree in Construction Management or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- Thorough understanding of construction safety protocols and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with relevant industry software such as Microsoft Outlook, Xactimate, Dash, Encircle, Matterport, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with insurance-related project workflows and third-party administrator (TPA) programs.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and consistently deliver high-quality results.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
