The Software Engineer II engineers secure, scalable and reliable technology solutions, with appropriate mentoring, to advance CMEG in the global marketplace and serve risk management needs of customers around the world. Join the product-oriented delivery team developing Risk Engine applications that prove CMEG customers with greater margining opportunities and risk exposure awareness.

Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant). Principal Accountabilities:
- Design, code and maintain applications in Java
- Write clean, scalable and well-documented code
- Implement and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations
- Develop technical specifications and software architecture plans
- Conduct unit testing and integration testing within system. Enables broad testing system-wide without all components in place.
- Knowledge of database SQL, as well as database modeling and tuning.
- Optimize code for key performance metrics. Offers complex insights during code reviews and helps with environmental build deployments, release notes and build notices.
- Identify source of defects and issues. Reviews code to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues and defects.
- Troubleshoots own code and helps others find bugs in own code.
- Uses design or analysis patterns periodically, following SDLC process independently
Skills & Software Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on Java development experience
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud strongly preferred)
- Experience with UC 4 (Preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
