Cyber Security Defense Manager / Chicago

This financial services company is looking for a Cyber Security Defense Manager who is willing and able to work in a highly regulated environment. While there is a large supervisory aspect to the role, this person will also be technical and hands-on. You would be reporting to the Senior Director of Security and be highly involved in high-level project management as well as technical duties. Ideal candidates will have strong managerial experience as well as hands-on technical skills. A defensive blue team background is required, and SOC management experience is highly desirable. This is a full-time position that is flexible hybrid in Chicago, so only local candidates will be considered. Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of professional experience in cyber security
• SOC management experience
• Escalated blue team experience
• Willingness to work in an office on a hybrid schedule
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience working in a highly regulated environment
• Any relevant security certifications
