Network Engineering Lead

Position: Network Engineering Lead
Location: Portland, OR (Day 1 Onsite, Must have Local DL) - NO RELOCATION

Experience Required:
• 10+ years in network engineering (enterprise environment preferred)
• 5+ years leading project teams and mentoring junior engineers
Technical Expertise:
• Deep understanding of networking technologies, design principles, and enterprise-grade network operations
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, load balancers, virtualization, storage networks, and network security
• Experience with SDN solutions such as Cisco ACI, VMware VNX
• Strong knowledge of network security solutions: firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and web application firewalls

Expertise in:
• Cisco Routing/Switching, Spine/Leaf architecture
• F5 LTM/GTM
• Cisco UCS & Nexus
• Cisco ACI, WAAS, WCCP
• Cisco ISE, Palo Alto firewalls
• QoS for voice and video
• Network automation
• Scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.) – a plus

Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of up to 5 network engineers
• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable network infrastructure
• Standardize and automate network configuration and deployments
• Provide escalation support for complex network issues
• Create detailed documentation: diagrams, technical specifications, processes, and procedures
• Collaborate with global technical teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Ensure high-quality customer service and timely issue resolution
• Work flexible hours, including nights/weekends for implementations when required
