THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate excels in agile, distributed teams, communicating clearly and working effectively under pressure. With a strong focus on automation and streamlining development operations, you manage clusters and systems to support global CI workflows. Passionate about AI and software engineering, you lead complex issue resolution and collaborate seamlessly across AMD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with AMD's architecture specialists to improve future products
  • Apply a data minded approach to target optimization efforts
  • Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to algorithms and architecture
  • Design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies
  • Participating in new ASIC and hardware bring ups
  • Debug and fix existing issues, including customer-reported problems, and research alternative, more efficient solutions
  • Interface directly with customers to understand requirements, resolve technical challenges, and ensure successful deployment
  • Develop and maintain strong technical relationships with peers, partners, and customers

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong object-oriented programming background, preferably in C/C++
  • Proven ability to write high-quality, maintainable code with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows OS development environments
  • Hands-on experience with debugging tools, profilers, and source control systems (e.g., GitHub), especially in resolving customer-reported issues
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interface directly with customers and cross-functional teams
  • Motivating leader with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
