Site Reliability Engineer

Role: Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Bellevue, WA

Hourly Rate: $60-75/hr.

Position Type: 1+ year contract with possibly of extension dependent on business needs

Ledgent Technology is currently assisting a respected client in their search for a Site Reliability Engineer. This position offers a 1+ year contract term with the potential for extension based on business requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

Proficient in Python programming language to automate tasks and develop tools for infrastructure management.

Expertise in Linux system administration including network configuration and management.

Capable of diagnosing and resolving production performance issues across applications and infrastructure components.

Familiarity with Message Queue systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ for efficient communication between distributed components.

Administration and management of Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and deployment.

Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) tooling and DevOps automation practices for streamlined software delivery pipelines.

Secondary Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in Mandarin language is strongly preferred, though not mandatory.

Proficient in Shell scripting for automating system tasks and management.

Understanding of containerization concepts and technologies.

Exposure to distributed systems like Consul, Zookeeper, MongoDB, etc., to manage complex infrastructures effectively.

Knowledge of configuration management tools like Saltstack for infrastructure automation and management.

Utilization of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, etc., for system performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
