Job Details

Payrate: $95.00 - $100.00/hr.

Summary:
The main function of a technical project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.

Responsibilities:
  • Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.
  • Manage backup, security and user help system.
  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
  • Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.
  • Provide users with technical support for computer problems.
  • Recruit, hire, train and supervise staff, or participate in staffing decisions.
  • Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum Years of Experience 5+.
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred.

Desired Skills:
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one s time.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment and computer hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Knowledge of computer software, such as Visual Basic, Java, SQL, etc.
  • Advanced Education and Specialized Experience
  • Graduate degree in engineering or scientific fields related to display, optics, or imaging.
  • Experience with optics and display development projects, especially in consumer markets.
  • Experience Transitioning Research to Products
  • Track record of successfully transitioning emerging technologies from research to consumer products.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Team Experience
  • Experience working with diverse teams including researchers, software engineers, and hardware engineers

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $95.00 - $100.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, 10 paid days off, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
