Job Description:

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 6 10 years of hands-on experience developing business reports and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ), and Crystal Reports
  • Proficient in SQL for querying and transforming large datasets from diverse sources like Snowflake, SQL Server, SAP HANA, Oracle, or Excel
  • Power BI: Deep experience with DAX, Power Query (M), Power BI Desktop, and Service (Workspaces, Apps, Row-Level Security, Scheduled Refresh)
  • Tableau: Skilled in building visual storytelling dashboards using LOD expressions, parameters, data blending, and Tableau Prep
  • SAP BOBJ: Experience with Web Intelligence (WebI), Universe Design Tool (UDT/IDT), report bursting, and CMC for user/report management
  • Crystal Reports: Familiarity with formula fields, sub-reports, cross-tabs, and pixel-perfect print-ready reporting

    • Desired Experience:

  • Experience working across enterprise BI environments with data governance, role-based security, version control, and Dev-Test-Prod environments
  • Comfortable building and optimizing semantic layers BOBJ Universes, Power BI Datasets, or Tableau Data Sources for reusable enterprise reporting
  • Strong understanding of report scheduling and distribution using tools like Power BI Service Gateways, BOBJ Publications, or Tableau Subscriptions
  • Ability to interpret complex business KPIs and translate analytical requirements into intuitive visual dashboards
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation using Power BI REST APIs, Tableau JavaScript API, or BOBJ SDKs
  • Hands-on experience with data refresh automation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting slow-running reports
  • Exposure to Agile development, Jira, and working in fast-paced, client-facing environments

    • Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, user-centric dashboards and pixel-perfect reports across Power BI, Tableau, BOBJ, and Crystal Reports
    • Leverage Power BI's composite models, report themes, bookmarks, and interactive drill-through pages to deliver modern self-service analytics
    • Create Tableau dashboards using dynamic parameters, custom calculations, Tableau Server Projects, and Extract/Live connections
    • Manage BOBJ Universes (IDT/UDT) to support ad hoc WebI reporting, applying security restrictions and complex joins across multiple subject areas
    • Build Crystal Reports with multi-source connectivity, nested sub-reports, custom grouping, and detailed summaries suitable for finance and operations
    • Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across data layers
    • Ensure report scalability, maintainability, and performance through filter optimizations, indexing awareness, and incremental data loads
    • Support stakeholders with ad-hoc reporting needs, training sessions, and documentation to promote data-driven decision-making
