.NET Application Developer Azure & SQL
Location: Tallahassee, FL (Onsite)
Duration: 8+ Months (October 24, 2025 June 30, 2026)
Extension: One (1) year renewal term not to exceed 12 months
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled .NET Application Developer with strong expertise in Azure Cloud and Microsoft SQL Server. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security. This role involves full SDLC participation from requirements analysis and solution design to deployment and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
Design, develop, and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.
Develop and optimize SQL Server databases, including stored procedures, views, and indexing strategies.
Implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL).
Support SQL migration from legacy to modern environments and perform Proofs of Concept (POCs).
Conduct unit and integration testing; participate in UAT and peer code reviews.
Deploy applications using Azure DevOps or CI/CD pipelines.
Provide post-deployment support, performance monitoring, and enhancements.
Create technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.
Recommend improvements, evaluate new technologies, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of hands-on programming and systems analysis experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft .NET Framework (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core).
Strong experience with SQL Server queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and database design.
Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud (App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps).
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, web services, and integration patterns.
Experience with Git / Azure Repos and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
Solid understanding of SDLC principles and modern software development practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Certification in Azure or .NET technologies.
5+ years of development or systems analysis experience.
Experience with state government or CJIS-compliant environments.
Background in cloud migration or modernization programs.
Exposure to DevOps tools and practices.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Ability to deliver high-quality work on time and within scope.
Additional Requirements:
Must successfully complete a Level II Background Check prior to start.
