Job Details

Title: RMS Architect

Location: Katy, TX (Onsite)

Duration: 6+ Months (CTH)

Candidates need to be SMEs/architects in RMS, MFCS Cloud, Upgrade, Modernization, Transformation, Retail, Wholesale, Order Management, Payment Systems, Fraud System Integration, and Store Systems. (Primarily RMS and Planning systems).

Responsibilities

  • Understand company needs to define system specifications
  • Plan and design the structure of store systems technology solutions
  • Learn, develop, and document new technology best practices for implementation
  • Communicate system requirements to cross functional teams
  • Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods
  • Learn assigned customer environments and develop technology roadmap
  • Develop and maintain vendor hardware and software replacement strategy
  • Oversee assigned programs (e.g. conduct code review) and provide guidance to team members
  • Define change requests, projects, and deployments requirements
  • Key contributor in evaluating, testing, and support of store systems hardware and software
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation of store systems technologies and process
  • Provide advanced technical support for the identification, prioritization, and resolution of the most complex store systems issues
  • Take full ownership of technical support issues, including initial troubleshooting, identification of root causes, and resolution
  • Develop and maintain procedures and controls to ensure secure and reliable operations
  • Serve as the focal point for teams to resolve technical issues with new or existing technology
  • Oversee technology projects in alignment with organizational goals

Experience / Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • Typically has 7+ years of IT work experience, with a minimum of 5 years of experience developing and implementing complex IT solutions for store systems
  • In-depth experience in scripting/coding languages (any)
  • Strong experience in GitHub and DevOps tools like Jenkins
  • High level technical understanding across broad ranges of technology including Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft applications, printing systems, IT security, networking, Active Directory and Group Policies
  • Very strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced team environment
  • Participate and lead customer meetings regarding technical discussions
  • Responsible for the identification, prioritization, and resolution of the most complex reported issues
  • Be responsive to customer needs which requires working outside of normal business hours or on-call rotation
  • Excellent customer service skills
