JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is seeking a Senior Data Architect for the Visa Data Catalog (VDC), tasked with the integration, management, and advancement of Visa's data cataloging efforts to support data-driven decision-making, operational excellence, and risk minimization. The role involves close collaboration with technology, product, and policy teams to enhance and maintain the VDC, driving its maturity through strategic planning, developing workflows, and managing content. This position plays a pivotal role in protecting brand through high standards in data usage, protection, and privacy, ultimately enabling growth and optimizing costs.
Develop and lead the VDC team in workshops, planning sessions, and evolve metadata management capabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is seeking a Senior Data Architect for the Visa Data Catalog (VDC), tasked with the integration, management, and advancement of Visa's data cataloging efforts to support data-driven decision-making, operational excellence, and risk minimization. The role involves close collaboration with technology, product, and policy teams to enhance and maintain the VDC, driving its maturity through strategic planning, developing workflows, and managing content. This position plays a pivotal role in protecting brand through high standards in data usage, protection, and privacy, ultimately enabling growth and optimizing costs.
Develop and lead the VDC team in workshops, planning sessions, and evolve metadata management capabilities.
- Migrate and map business term glossaries to the VDC, coordinating with Visa teams for metadata tagging.
- Evolve General AI model development for automatic business term generation and streamline API mapping processes.
- Draft operating and desktop procedures for the internal VDC team and Visa data community, respectively.
- Manage and report on VDC content, workflow oversight, ongoing product management, and support data governance initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in metadata management within a data cataloging environment.
- Demonstrated ability in data catalog tool usage, preferably DataHub, and knowledge of Data Capability Assessment Model (DCAM).
- Strong project management skills, including defining project scope, objectives, and risk management.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience and at least 3 years focused on metadata management.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Data Science, Architecture, Engineering, Economics, Business, Computer Science).
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and drive execution.
