Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Phoenix, AZ(Hybrid). This role involves resolving supplier issues and implementing corrective actions, as well as driving continuous improvement and supporting technical audits.
Rate Range: $41/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer job responsibilities include:
- Lead resolution of supplier manufacturing and operational issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective corrective actions.
- Develop and implement supplier improvement plans, focusing on long-term process control and quality enhancement.
- Conduct and support supplier technical audits, evaluating supplier performance, capabilities, and compliance with standards.
- Document and share key learnings by creating and updating Best Known Methods (BKM) to drive consistency and improvement across the supply base.
- Apply problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and CAPA to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Analyze mechanical drawings and manufacturing processes, ensuring suppliers meet technical specifications and quality expectations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 8-14 years overall experience, with a minimum of 4-5 years in a Supplier Development or Supplier Quality role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical parts, assemblies, and manufacturing processes; ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Proven experience in supplier issue resolution, including the use of structured problem-solving tools like 8D and CAPA.
