Detailed Job Description:
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) seeks an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to support its legacy application remediation initiative and broader process improvement efforts. The Business Analyst will work closely with the Systems Analyst, Project Manager, and stakeholders across programs to document current business processes, map applications to business functions, and identify opportunities for modernization and streamlining.
BA will elicit functional and non-functional requirements using techniques such as journey mapping, business process reengineering, interviews, and working sessions. BA will also assist with the agency's IT operational needs, by facilitating training workshops, creating user guides, and spearheading focus groups to reimagine workflows.
