Job Description:

POSITION: Lead Big Data Engineering

JOB LOCATION: 208 S. Akard Street Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

DUTIES: Design, build, and present on-prem to data transformation solutions, systems, and applications to address customer needs. Responsible for developing data solutions to extract, transform and load billing, sales, finance, network, inventory, customer profiling, marketing, etc. data into a corporate data storage in Snowflake and Vertica. Learn and leverage the latest snowflake public release features to apply in the CDO Snowflake infrastructure. Work with multiple teams to collaborate and create leading edge demos, PoC's, and advanced industry solutions for large scale telecommunications data warehouse solutions. Develop technical presentations and conduct workshops and hackathons to share expertise on data engineering best practices. Work closely with user migration team, solution architects, and data managers to drive technical solutioning and develop complex technical solutions for reporting, extraction and processing of corporate data. Utilize Azure cloud, Python, JAVA, Scala, and Databricks (Apache Spark). Utilize Unix and Linux shell scripting, Tipco DVT, TWS scheduler, Teradata, Oracle database, golden gate and PL/SQL, Erwin, CoZ, Kafka, Infoworks, Informatica, Snowflake & Vertica on prem and on Hadoop.

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing Azure cloud, Python, JAVA, Scala, and Databricks (Apache Spark); utilizing Unix and Linux shell scripting, Tipco DVT, TWS scheduler, Teradata, Oracle database, golden gate and PL/SQL, Erwin, CoZ, Kafka, Infoworks, Informatica, Snowflake & Vertica on prem and on Hadoop.
