Job Details

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Belcamp, MD. This is an onsite position.

TheElectrical Engineerwill work in support of the Army for the Network Modernization & Mission Network Technical Service Support program (NetMod). NetMod sets forth the work efforts required to provide product technical support services for systems and equipment being produced, fielded, modified or supported by PdM Network Modernization (NetMod) and PdM Mission Network of the Project Manager (PM) Tactical Network (TN) of the Program Executive Office for Command Control and Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T). This support may also include future systems and equipment that is acquired for the Army to maintain its technological advantage.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Interacting with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.
  • Participates in the development of test strategies.
  • Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents.
  • Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes.
  • Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.
  • Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science and 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years in the Department of Defense contracting market of major weapon systems product development and acquisitions.
  • Experience using mathematical models to analyze electrical circuits, power distribution, and system efficiency.
  • Experience identifying and resolving problems within electrical systems during design, testing, or installation phases.
  • Understanding of the interrelationships of circuits
  • Experience exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience building and testing experimental models of electrical devices to evaluate functionality and performance.
  • Experience creating schematics and blueprints for electrical components and systems within a project, considering factors like power requirements, load calculations, and safety regulations.
  • Possess a profession certification cush as a Certified Technical Professional (CTP), Professional Engineer (PE), or similar.

Clearance Requirements:

    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
    • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
    • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
