Product Analyst / Business Analyst / Hybrid in Charlotte, NC
About our Customer & Role:
Our premium customer, a global Fortune 500 company & a leader in the Food & Vending Services industry is looking for a Product Analyst / Business Analyst , to drive the delivery of cutting-edge product solutions. The Product Analyst's primary focus will be on enhancing the technology applications used in premium hospitality spaces, improving customer experience, streamlining internal processes, and increasing user adoption.
The position is hybrid and based in Charlotte, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering and aligning business requirements with product goals, facilitating the development process to ensure successful outcomes.
- Working with a cross-functional teams, including UX designers, full stack engineers, data engineers, product owners, and project managers.
- Understanding and documenting business processes; identifying problems and objectives, and formulating the requirements the software solution must address
- Gathering information from business stakeholders regarding their needs and expectations
- Translating business requirements into clear, actionable development stories for developers to implement
- Participating in the testing and validation of developments, ensuring they meet defined requirements and business goals
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation related to requirements, including testing materials, release notes, and product manuals
- Collaborate with business and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process and application improvement
- Participate in daily/weekly standups, reviews and retrospectives
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in business analysis and product development.
- Strong understanding of software applications, databases and related technologies within hospitality applications, including point-of-sale (POS), and e-commerce.
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation and documentation techniques.
- Experience with software development methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Possess a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry, including market trends and consumer preferences.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in Food Industry and/or Retail is a big plus.
