Job Title: MuleSoft Integration Developer
Location: Remote (Canada)
Duration/Term: Long-Term Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive MuleSoft Integration Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Mule 4 and API-led architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations across various platforms using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable integration solutions that adhere to security and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (preferably Mule 4)
- Implement API-led connectivity models using System, Process, and Experience layers
- Collaborate with architects and integration leads to define and follow integration best practices
- Develop DataWeave transformation logic to support complex data transformations
- Configure and deploy MuleSoft apps on CloudHub, on-premises, or hybrid environments
- Ensure integration solutions meet performance, security, and scalability requirements
- Participate in code reviews, document designs, and contribute to unit and integration testing
- Provide production support, debugging, and performance optimization
- Work in Agile/Scrum teams using tools such as Jira, Git, and Jenkins
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 4+ years of hands-on development experience with MuleSoft
- Strong understanding of RESTful/SOAP web services and integration design patterns
- Proficiency in the DataWeave transformation language
- Experience with API Manager, Runtime Manager, and Anypoint Exchange
- Experience deploying APIs to CloudHub or hybrid/on-prem Mule runtimes
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools for automation
- MuleSoft Certified Developer (Level 1 or 2) preferred
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with RAML/OpenAPI specifications
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and modern API security practices
- Exposure to integration platforms like Dell Boomi, Apigee, or others
- Experience in domain-specific integrations (e.g., healthcare, finance, or retail)
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
