Work Flexibility: Hybrid

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in building and optimizing data pipelines, transforming complex requirements into reliable datasets, and enabling analytics that support business growth. In this role, you will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and collaborate across teams to optimize existing, and new, data engineering workflows to deliver impactful solutions.

* This is a hybrid role requiring 3-4 days per week onsite at our Mahwah, NJ location.

What You Will Do
  • Design and build ETL pipelines to ingest and transform data based on project and user requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and requirements gathering artifacts for key systems and assets.
  • Collaborate with BI developers and analysts to ensure clean, reliable, and well-documented datasets for reporting and analytics.
  • Optimize existing workflows and pipelines for cost efficiency and performance.
  • Assist with ERP dataset repointing and Power BI report recreation to support business continuity.
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable technical solutions and data architecture improvements.
  • Contribute to discussions on data movement and architecture opportunities to enable business growth.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations that explain data processes and findings to stakeholders.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data engineering or related technical role.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language central to data engineering (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark).
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes, pipeline creation, and data warehouse architecture.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, or Databricks.
  • Proficiency in Power BI.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience with DAX, Power Query, and Dataflows.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and data structures.
  • Knowledge of DataOps, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code practices using GitHub/GitLab.
  • Exposure to cloud-native tools for distributed computing and business intelligence (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).

$77,200.00 - $160,800.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
