Job Description Overview

This resource will be responsible for creating automation frameworks and tools for a backend development team that is preparing to launch a new customer facing platform. Ideal candidates are passionate about automation development, creating a best in class customer experience, and desire to grow into more leadership focused roles.

Technical Requirements and Skillset
  • Backend Development Team: Our development team primarily uses TypeScript. While were not sure if the tests will be written in TypeScript or Python.
  • Candidates MUST have an understanding of Typescript either as a developer or tester.
  • Integration Testing: We use Postman and similar tools for integration testing. Our backend APIs allow customers and developers to build applications on top of our platform.
  • Automation: The role involves integrating testing into our CI/CD pipeline, automating reporting, and integrating with Slack channels for real-time updates. This resource will be responsible for building out the automation for the backend development team.
  • Candidates MUST have strong backend automation development experience within the Service Layer and APIs.
  • The platform exposes internal systems to these customers, allowing them to configure IDs for a seamless experience when connecting to Wi-Fi.
  • API Development and OAuth 2.0: Understanding API development and OAuth 2.0 is foundational to our work. While we prefer candidates with hands-on development experience, were open to those who have a strong understanding of these concepts.
  • Database Experience: We need candidates with experience in PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, Drizzle ORM, etc.
  • AWS, Kubernetes/Docker are also a HUGE plus

Team Composition
  • Backend Team: This position will initially support the backend team responsible for the API orchestration layer.
