Job Overview:

The Sr. Software Engineer will be working with a well formed team to develop solutions to enable and empower interaction between LPL home office users and LPL financial advisors with omni-channel experience. You will be working with a multi-functional development team with high velocity. Activities will include development and enhancement of a single or multiple platforms. The role will require flexible thinking as the team works to integrate existing business and technology concepts with innovative design to deliver a practical and scalable platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test and implement technical solutions based on business requirements and strategic direction.
  • Own end to end design for the platform, solution delivery and execution and code quality.
  • Collaborate with peer teams, technology platform owner, product manager/owner, enterprise architecture and platform support teams to ensure delivery of production into Production.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with quality assurance engineer teams, DevOps to ensure all SDLC processes are adhered to.
  • Assess opportunities for platform/application and process improvements.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and enhance existing systems.
  • Hands on Web and C#/ .Net development experience integrating multiple application platforms.
  • Design business processes and integration between Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM applications and other applications include telephony software, chat and other channels.
  • Utilize and build RESTful and SOA backend services.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and application integration partners.
  • Application resiliency, scalability and performance design.
  • Quick prototyping skills leveraging Visual Studio and/or other tools to create stub services etc.
  • Agile/Scrum delivery.
  • Accountable for software development lifecycle - optimize it, tackle inefficiency and reduce waste.

Required:
  • 5+ years of extensive design and implementation of complex system integration using .NET stack and web services.
  • Full Stack developer with 5+ years of experience in service oriented application
  • 3+ years in an Agile environment
  • Excellent understanding of SOA principles and design patterns.
  • Extensive .NET, C#, JavaScript, JSON and REST services, SQL Server development experience.
  • Hands on experience in SQL server procedures, views, indexes and performance tuning.
  • Should have a good sense for Code Architecture and Design Principles.
  • Experience in writing unit tests using any of these technologies VS Tests, Nunit, Junit, Munit, Jasmin/Karma is a plus.

Core Competencies:
  • Experience with Pub-Sub technology, including Azure Service Bus and/or enterprise message queueing systems.
  • Hands on design experience with Web Services is needed to be successful in this position.
  • Strong understanding of cloud implementation, awareness/knowledge with PaaS/IaaS cloud-native applications.
  • Experience with entitlement and identity management design and implementation.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Ability to share knowledge and expertise with other software engineers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and be a strong team player.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated.
  • Design and SDLC documentation, authoring and presentation experience.
  • Should have worked end to end on complex architecture driven solutions.
  • Risk management, contingency planning.
  • Will require very little or no handholding and can drive/lead a medium to large Team.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of estimation, tools and principles.
  • Obstacle remover, quick decision maker.

Preferences:
  • Experience of leading/working through SDLC processes for 5 or more projects.
  • Enterprise delivery experience in a financial services organization.

Pay Range:
$116,800-$194,600/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
