Job Title: Business Analyst Databricks & Snowflake.
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term Contract

About the Role
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Data Business Analyst with strong expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, and Data Analytics to join our growing data and analytics team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring data-driven insights translate into actionable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into analytical and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with data engineering teams to design and optimize data pipelines and data models in Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic decisions.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Validate data accuracy and integrity across various data sources.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for business operations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, finance, operations) to support analytical initiatives.
  • Assist in data migration, transformation, and integration projects across Databricks and Snowflake environments.
  • Support continuous improvement of data quality, governance, and process automation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst in a data-centric environment.
  • Proven experience with Databricks (notebooks, Delta Lake, PySpark, data pipelines).
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, query optimization).
  • Proficiency in SQL and data transformation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and cloud-based data ecosystems (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience in BI & visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical insights into clear, business-oriented presentations and reports
