Your impact
Our team is experiencing exciting growth within our established Construction Management practice, and we are seeking a new Rail Systems Field Engineer to join our team. You'll coordinate with client's various internal departments to facilitate work, coordination with third party stakeholder, prepare track allocation requests, assist with procurement of material, assist with oversight of field inspectors and Contractor. Utilizing your expertise, you will assist with rail systems installation and testing to ensure compliance with approved design drawings and test procedures. You'll be expected to perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities
- Monitors project phasing and on-going contractors work activities to ensure work is being performed according to contract specification.
- Attends pre-construction meetings and answers questions from contractors and other attendees.
- Assists in engineering related data collection, assessments, analysis, and review activities for plan development by others.
- Assist with reporting work progress, quality and safety issues arising throughout scope of project.

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience in lieu of formal education.
- 10+ years in rail systems construction experience
- Able and willing to workday or night shifts and/or flexible schedules including weekends as required to support the project requirements.
- Experience working around live trains on an active railway
- Ability to move up to 20 pounds
- Ability to follow instructions and effectively communicate with contractors and public.
- Ability to read and interpret project related drawings and specifications.
- Valid CA Driver's license with good driving history
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Local municipal construction experience with rail transit agencies
- Experience with local, State and federal project guidelines
