Job Details

Overview:

  • Responsible for production of weekly and biweekly payroll processing including both exempt and non-exempt employees in a multi-state environment.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:

  • Proficient with HRIS and/or payroll systems
  • 3 plus years of payroll experience with 2+ years of multistate payroll.
  • Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills
  • Proficient with Excel and Microsoft suite
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Workday payroll and time entry processing.
  • Minimum education is HS Diploma or equivalency

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform the payroll processing function; including but not limited to, entry and maintenance of time keeping edits, adjustments, voluntary deductions, involuntary deductions, and review/analysis of applicable payroll reports.
  • Adheres to internal control processes; including payroll balancing and audit procedures
  • Tier 2 call center support for employee issues with a strong focus on customer service. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people.
  • Must remain flexible and available to work on any/all disaster or emergency situations or holidays that impact payroll processing deadlines.
  • Supports testing enhancements and changes to Workday
  • Supports Year End and W2 Reporting

Key Metrics:

  • Timely and accurate completion of payroll processing.
  • Response to employee, external vendors or internal departments is timely, courteous and accurate.
  • Timely and accurate response to call center tickets
