We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director of Product and Engineering to lead our tech services team. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, product development acumen, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software and product engineering, the ability to manage and lead a team of 20 developers, and a track record of delivering high-quality tech solutions. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our company and drive innovation in our product offerings.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team of 20 software engineers, PHP developers, and .NET Developers to develop, implement, and maintain our tech services.
2. Work closely with the product team to define product strategy, roadmap, and timelines.
3. Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement within the team.
4. Oversee all aspects of product engineering, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
5. Use Agile methodologies to manage projects and ensure timely delivery.
6. Utilize tools like JIRA to track and manage projects effectively.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment between business needs and tech solutions.
8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our tech services remain competitive.
9. Drive the technical vision and strategy for the company, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
10. Implement best practices for software development and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in product or software engineering.
3. Proven experience leading a team of software engineers and developers.
4. Extensive experience with PHP, .NET, and other relevant programming languages.
5. Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience using project management tools like JIRA.
6. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate teams.
7. Strong technical acumen and ability to understand complex technical concepts.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
10. Proven track record of delivering high-quality tech solutions on time and within budget.
