Contract Opportunity: AWS Data Lead Engineer - Life Sciences
Location: Onsite in Santa Monica, CA (5 days/week during initial period - mandatory)
Duration: 6-12 months

iO Associates is working with a leading life sciences organization in Santa Monica, CA, to support their search for an experienced AWS Data Lead Engineer for a key data transformation program.
This role will see you working at the heart of a regulated, FDA-validated environment - leading AWS-based data architecture and supporting analytics, governance, and stakeholder delivery efforts.
Key Requirements:
Senior-level experience with AWS data engineering tools (Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda, etc.)
Proven background in data pipeline architecture, governance, and platform leadership
Strong stakeholder-facing and customer engagement skills
Experience working with or building FDA-validated systems
Familiarity with healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries preferred
Important:
This role requires full-time onsite presence in Santa Monica, CA during the initial engagement period.
