Description

SRC is seeking a motivated individual to join our team!

As a Field Service Engineer, this individual performs a variety of complex technical functions in support of the T-6 Crash Survivable Recorder program at SRC. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Providing on-site support to Contractor Field Teams
    • Assisting in Aircraft Systems Troubleshooting
    • Acting as a liaison between the Program Manager, Contractor Field Team, and US Government Contracting Officers Representative (COR)
    • Inspecting install equipment, maintaining Crash Survivable Recorders (CSRs) prior to installation
    • Overseeing Contractor Field Teams, anticipating potential issues, working to resolve them to prevent work stoppage

Requirements

***This position will start as a full-time travel role. SRC is looking for three Field Service Engineers to split time at two of the six locations listed below. SRC is open to candidates living in any of these locations or Warner Robins, GA, as the program is based there and will have follow-on work there afterwards.
    • Randolph AFB - San Antonio, TX
    • Sheppard AFB - Wichita Falls, TX
    • Laughlin AFB - Del Rio, TX
    • Naval Air Station Pensacola (FL)
    • Columbus (MS) AFB
    • Vance AFB - Enid, OK
  • Bachelor's degree (An additional four years of experience as an aircraft maintainer may be used to qualify for this position lieu of a bachelors degree)
  • 5 years experience as an aircraft maintainer
  • Experience with USAF aircraft maintenance practices and procedures
  • Experience utilizing technical publications
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
  • USAF egress familiarization training
  • Access to US Military installations

Desired Skills

  • Experience with the T-6 Aircraft
  • Experience with aircraft equipped with ejection seats
  • Aircraft Avionics experience

Travel Requirements

  • Travel could exceed 50% and may be up to 100% for approximately one year. Following that period, travel will likely be less than 25%
