Structural Engineer - Commercial Nuclear industry (not government)

Location: Remote position

LOA: 6+ months

# of positions: 5

Interview process: there will be 2 interviews, both via Microsoft Teams. 1st interview will be M-T-W of next week. If that goes well, the 2nd interview will take place after the holidays.

Start Date: looking to have candidates start 1/5 or 1/12/26

Job Description:

We have a REMOTE 6+ month position for a Structural Engineer with experience working in the commercial Nuclear industry (not government, different standards and timelines).

Candidate must have a BS in Engineering

Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience as a Structural Engineer who has held a previous design verification qualification/certification with commercial nuclear projects under 10CFR50 Appendix B QA programs.

Must have MathCAD Prime as well as GT STRUDL experience.

Ideally, candidates will be able to perform piping analysis per ASME B31.1 as well as structural analysis is a plus.

Need a candidate who is ready to jump into preparing and reviewing documents for pipe supports, building structure modifications, rigging load evaluations.

Steel per AISC Allowable Stress Design (known as ASD) approach (the older code years that commercial nuclear commonly uses).

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and modify Yaskawa robot programs based on project specs.

Diagnose and troubleshoot robotic issues.

Collaborate with engineering and production for system integration.

Perform system testing and validation.

Provide technical support and training to team members.

Maintain documentation for robotic systems and programming changes.
