Power Platform / API Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Power Platform / API Engineer for a contract assignment with one of our premier Management Consulting services clients in New York, NY. This role will be remote.

Responsibilities :

• The software engineer will be responsible for creating and configuring user environments within the Microsoft Power Platform, ensuring they are optimized for usability, security, and scalability.
• A key part of the role includes establishing and enforcing governance policies and security guardrails across the Power Platform to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
• Will also design and implement a wrapper around PowerShell scripts to expose them as RESTful APIs, enabling seamless integration with other systems and services across the organization.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline with excellent academic record
• Must have strong expertise in Microsoft Power Platform and environment lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting is essential, along with hands-on experience in developing and deploying RESTful APIs.
• Should be adept at building middleware solutions that connect PowerShell-based automation with broader enterprise systems.
• A solid understanding of API security, authentication protocols, and governance practices within low-code platforms is critical for success in this role.
• Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing.
