Description:
Our Fortune 500 Medical Device client is seeking a Project Manager to lead a high-visibility cost reduction initiative within the R&D PMO. This initiative is part of an enterprise-wide effort focused on driving product cost savings through design modifications and component exchange programs while navigating a complex, global matrix organization. The project has completed feasibility and scoping phases and now requires a strong PM to lead the implementation and delivery phase.

Rate: $80 - $90 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

Partner with cross-functional teams across R&D, Operations, and Regulatory to deliver product design changes that achieve measurable cost savings.

Collaborate with manufacturing sites in San Diego and Tijuana to ensure implementation and transfer of changes into production.

Own project schedules, deliverables, risk management, and communication across all stakeholders.

Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs to ensure documentation and submission readiness for implemented changes.

Provide structure and project oversight to ensure milestones and business targets are met.

Experience Requirements:
2-5 years of Project Management experience within the Medical Device industry.

R&D sustaining engineering experience, but also open to NPD as well.

Strong understanding of design controls, R&D processes, and industry regulatory standards.

Exposure to Regulatory submissions and Operations/manufacturing interfaces.

Background in Engineering. Preferably Mechanical or Systems Engineering.

Demonstrated success cross-functional teams collaboration in a matrixed environment.

Education Requirements:
Engineering degree

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
