Contract Duration: 1 year renewable

Hybrid: The primary work location will be Austin, Texas 78751.
Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Thurs & Fri) required to be onsite at the location listed above.
Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius).
Please do not submit candidates who are currently out of state and are planning to move to Texas. Candidates must already reside in Texas.

I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
requires the services of 1 Project Manager 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Project Manager 3, Project Management and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the client and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Client will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and should be noted on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.
Project managers are the people in charge of a specific project or projects within a company. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project managers might work by themselves or be in charge of a team to get the job done.
DSHS CFO is requesting a Project Manager (PM) to work with program and IT to implement Invoice Tracking System replacement project activities. This includes but not limited to facilitate meetings, manage the project milestones and deliverables and change request, manage risks and issues, track project budget, manage project scope, complete various reporting, etc. to ensure the project is completed on time and under budget.
II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Years Required/Preferred Experience 10
Required Skilled in managing project with implementations across large organizations. Experience should include developing and managing project plans, documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans
10 Required Ability to research, gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts; to devise solutions to problems; and to prepare concise reports and/or to analyze and solve complex and difficult problems
10 Required Experience overseeing the development of SDLC artifacts, ensure business requirements get translated into technical specifications, guide, and facilitate the SDLC process
10 Required Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with multiple project sponsors and stakeholder. Must possess strong communication and presentation skills.
10 Required Ability to appropriately summarize and escalate issues and develop and present weekly status updates and conduct regular project team meetings
10 Required Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
10 Required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
8 Required Agile methodology, overseeing and tracking development progress, and ensuring project assignments align with project timelines
8 Required Agile Experience - Managing the project with feature driven sprints
5 Preferred Experience implementing and using agile methodologies and best practices for 1 or more State of Texas Agencies
5 Preferred Prior experience in healthcare or Public Health
2 Preferred PMP Certification
