Junior Application Architect

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Junior Application Architect

Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15219 Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Proactive Monitoring & Resolution: Oversee system alerts and user requests, ensuring timely prioritization and resolution to maintain operational efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Design and execute comprehensive test plans to validate that all deliverables align with customer expectations and specifications.
• Progress Tracking: Maintain clear visibility into work item status through consistent tracking and reporting.
• Code Delivery Excellence: Develop and deliver robust code that meets all functional and performance benchmarks set by the customer.
• Customer Collaboration: Engage with clients in a professional manner to gather requirements, exchange data, and provide insightful reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Industry Experience: 5-10 years of hands-on experience in systems and IT, with a strong foundation in application development, testing, and defect resolution.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with COBOL, DB2, CICS, IMS DB/DC, JCL, and TSO/ISPF within an IBM MVS mainframe environment.
• Process Knowledge: Solid understanding of IT application lifecycle and delivery methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Domain Expertise: Prior experience in developing or supporting applications in the metals, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
• Functional Knowledge: Familiarity with scheduling and inventory management systems.
• Global Collaboration: Demonstrated success in working with offshore development teams.

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Initiative & Teamwork: Self-motivated, proactive, and thrives in collaborative environments.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $32.00 - $35.68 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
