Job Details
This growing energy player is expanding and seeking to hire a Data and Reporting Architect responsible for creating and maintaining custom reporting software across the organization. Design and build new software or low-code applications, analyze and modify existing software, and integrate and automate existing systems. Follow ing industry best practices you will also manage the full SDLC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work across the enterprise to understand and document new and existing software needs.
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of custom software and integrations.
- Design and analyze logical data models and translate them into database specifications.
- Provide expert advice on the various database, service, URL, and resource identification schemes for database and software systems.
- Research, evaluate and develop prototypes of new software and techniques.
- Provides analysis and specifications of the software, such as load, capacity, security, interoperability, automation, etc.
- Communicates security requirements for the software (identification, authentication, and authorization).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose software and software integrations to resolve problems.
- Test and fix errors and refine changes to software and databases.
- Mentor and coach less experienced application developers.
BACKGROUND
- Advanced knowledge of relational database concepts including relational database products such as Microsoft SQL and MySQL.
- Advanced knowledge of OLAP database concepts with databases such as Essbase.
- Strong experience with reporting tools and low-code app platforms such as Essbase, Power BI, and Oracle APEX
- Strong experience with ANSI SQL and/or Oracle SQL
- Sr. level experience with Data Engineering/ Architecture including experience with creating and maintaining Data Marts, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, etc.
- Advanced skills in reporting tools and low-code application platforms such as Essbase, Power BI, and Oracle APEX.
- Formal SDLC experience in a SOX compliance context.
- Experience with 2 or more of the following:
- Cloud integration and hybrid integration.
- Oracle Database 11g or later, including PL/SQL.
- MSSQL 2012 –16, including T-SQL.
- Experience with SVN
- Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Microsoft PowerShell.
- Solaris/Linux.
- Standard web technologies (html5/css, JavaScript, RESTful, and SOAP services), both server and client sides.
- Oracle EBS and P2 EU.
- Ability to mentor and coach.
