Job Description

We are seeking skilled and motivated Data Center Technicians to support the installation and maintenance of cabling infrastructure in a fast-paced data center environment. This role involves physical labor and requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure, including server cabinets, cable trays, ladder racks, fiber runners, containment systems, and trunk cables.
  • Perform field terminations, labeling, and testing of low-voltage cabling (coaxial, fiber, Cat5, Cat6).
  • Read and interpret blueprints, building documentation, and redline drawings.
  • Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the data center.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve project obstacles.
  • Provide structured feedback on project progress and suggest process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in mechanical, data center, or cabling work (no license required).
  • Familiarity with construction site or data center environments.
  • Proficiency with basic telecom hand tools.
  • Understanding of wiring schemes and cable testing procedures.
  • Ability to pull and install various types of low-voltage cabling.
  • Comfortable working on ladders and performing physically demanding tasks.

Additional Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in data center infrastructure installation is preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to high-quality workmanship and continuous improvement.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fredericksburg, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
