Job Title: Dynamic Authorization Engineer / ABAC - IAM Engineer

 

Duration: up to 12 months contract [Full time during summer and change to part-time to resume school in the fall]

 

Location: Work from Home / Remote Work

 

Work Schedule: 4/10 Schedule

 

Pay Rate: $71.43/hr on W2

Job Description:

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the enterprise wide dynamic authorization platform.
  • This position will be to assist with designing, building and maintaining development, test and production environments to achieve dynamic authorization capability delivery goals. As this is a new service offering, you will need to ensure that implementation stays aligned to industry best practices.
  • What you ll do:
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in the dynamic authorization space.
    • Create and maintain low level designs for the platform and platform integrations.
    • Monitor, support and maintain platform infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
    • Gather and synthesize requirements, design system components and configurations for development, test and production environments.
    • Work closely with data teams and application owners to implement new integrations of enforcement points in order to achieve effective access control.
    • Operate within an Agile product structure including breaking down work into epics and stories in Jira that capture product team output.
    • Write and continually maintain standard operating instructions.

 

Skills Required:

  • Overall, 5+ years experience in information management or information security roles
  • 3+ years experience (of the total) in identity engineer roles
  • 3+ years of experience working as a product owner of an information technology or cyber security product.
  • Clear understanding of the large enterprise Identity and Access Management landscape including how authentication and authorization are related to enterprise operations.
  • Experience working and integrating with, or operating an authentication service such as directory services or federation platforms.
  • Understanding of system virtualization for the delivery of an identity platform particularly for scale, performance and resiliency.
  • Experience deploying in containerized infrastructures (K8s, Helm Charts, git).
  • Knowledge of OpenShift or Terraform.
  • Firm understanding of REST API and SQL/JDBC filtering using policy based access techniques. (Structured, un-structured, and semi-structured data models).

 

Desired skills:

  • CISSP or other general cybersecurity certification.
  • Design and implementation experience with SGNL, NextLabs or another dynamic authorization platform that is a close parallel.
