Description:

We are seeking an experienced Engineer to take on a leadership role within our expanding Transportation Division, specializing in bridge engineering projects across Ohio. Our team is handling a growing portfolio of contracts with state and local transportation agencies and continues to expand our presence in the region. The position will involve technical oversight, project management, and client engagement, offering the successful candidate the chance to shape the future of our bridge engineering group. Remote or hybrid working arrangements are available, along with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop plans, calculations, and specifications for transportation-related structures, including bridges, retaining walls, culverts, and other structures based on AASHTO and state-specific standards.
Conduct structural analyses and load assessments for existing infrastructure, recommending appropriate enhancement or repair strategies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and coordinate directly with clients to successfully deliver projects.
Manage projects or tasks independently, adhering to scope, budget, and schedule expectations under moderate oversight.
Prepare cost estimates, scopes of work, and technical proposals, assisting other project managers in these areas when needed.
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams to maintain high-quality technical standards.
Participate in site visits and inspections, occasionally requiring travel and overnight stays.

General Qualifications:

Applies a broad knowledge of engineering principles and practices to solve complex problems.
Demonstrates independent judgment in evaluating, selecting, and adapting engineering techniques and standards.
Leads moderately complex projects and prepares all related documentation.
Applies engineering economics and risk analysis in project decision-making.
Experience:

8+ years of relevant engineering experience.

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
