Description
NexGen Data Systems is seeking a Program Manager to lead projects that involve the successful management of teams composed of data processing and other information management professionals who have been involved in analysis, design, integration, testing, documenting, converting, extending, and implementing automated information and/or telecommunications systems. Extensive leadership experience in the IT sector is required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Performs day-to-day management of overall contract support operations, possibly involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations.
- Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and production of all contract support activities.
- Demonstrates written and oral communication skills.
- Establishes and alters (as necessary) corporate management structure to direct effective contract support activities.
- Requesting and tracking personnel badges
- Requesting and scheduling of common access cards issuance
- Requesting and tracking account development and creation for all new employees
- Requesting and tracking additional accounts as needed for all employees
- Manages and tracks yearly badge and facility access for all employees
- Manages and tracks yearly account access requirements for all employees
- Manages and tracks training requirements of team members
- Establishes, develops, maintains and updates documentation regarding processes and procedures
- Update daily tracker for all employee onboarding and off boarding activities
- Communicate with affected employees daily via phone, email or other electronic methods
- Establish report with employees for onboarding by ensuring they have what they need and are engaged through the process
- Collaborate/communicate with command offices to derive information for onboarding employees.
- Respond to daily inquiries for status updates form functional managers, team leads etc.
- Processes Travel requests, documentation and approvals
- Handles confidential and non-routine information with ethics and accuracy
- Processes required paperwork for vendors requiring base access
- Other administrative tasks as requested by managers, teams and customers

Desired/Required Skills:
- Active Secret level government clearance or higher required.
- Must hold a Project or Program Management certification (i.e., Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other equivalent/recognized Project or Program Management certification).
- Bachelor Degree required, preferably in relevant field.
- Relevant program management experience.
- Direct work experience in support of DoD Enterprise business information systems and computing infrastructure operations.
- Eight (8) years Program Management Experience to include: Technology Assessments, Systems Design, Systems Analysis, Programmatic Support, Acquisition Planning, and Budget Planning.
- Four (4) years of Program Management experience shall be at a supervisory level for DoD Enterprise business information systems and/or network operations. Supervisory experience shall include developing program metrics, budgets and schedules and coordinating efforts of multiple task activities.
- Experience must include working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and DoD procurement policies. Shall have written and oral communications abilities commensurate with this management role.
- Ten years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in the public and/or private sector in the IT and/or consulting fields.
- 10-14 years experience with the Information Technology Acquisition process and its milestones
- Experience analyzing a variety of source documentation and supporting the creation of acquisition documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to consistently complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Team player with ability to multitask and work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate with awareness and responsiveness to customer needs.
- Commitment to continuous development and improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
