About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion and pipeline workflows while adhering to best practices and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data ingestion and pipeline workflows as per business and technical requirements.

  • Develop, configure, test, debug, and document data engineering solutions using Google Cloud Platform.

  • Extract and analyze data using SQL for troubleshooting and validation.

  • Support existing pipelines and enhance data processes for performance and scalability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery and communication.

  • Perform unit, integration, and UAT testing and document results.

  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and project estimations.

  • Ensure compliance with data security standards and development best practices.

Must-Have Technical Skills:

  • Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) expertise

  • Google Pub/Sub

  • BigQuery

  • Google Dataform

  • Data ingestion to BigQuery

  • Google Cloud Storage (GCS)

  • Cloud Composer

  • GitHub

  • SQL (Strong proficiency)

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Cloud Data Fusion

  • Experience with DBMS (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle)

  • Integrating RESTful APIs / SOAP Webservices

  • Working with other Google Cloud resources, databases, and services

  • Jira and Confluence familiarity

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or ETL development.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
