Job Title: Azure Data Architect
Location: Dallas, Texas ( Onsite )
Duration/Term: Long Term Contract


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect with deep technical expertise to lead architecture and solution design for customer-centric engagements. The ideal candidate will collaborate with pre-sales, business units, and engineering teams to define strategic cloud solutions, execute POCs and pilot migration projects, and mentor operations teams on Azure adoption.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud-native architectures aligned with customer IT estate and business priorities.
  • Collaborate with network, security, AD, backup, and application architects to develop enterprise-grade solutions.
  • Establish long-term cloud strategy, ensuring cost-effective and scalable solutions.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on Microsoft Azure, supporting Sales and Pre-Sales teams in RFP activities.
  • Advocate new features and innovations to improve operational efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Conduct design workshops, create HLD documentation, and lead cloud adoption initiatives.
  • Develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision-makers, influencing strategic decisions.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8-12 years of experience in consulting or architecture roles within a software/services company.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Data Lake storage, Databricks, Data Factory, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Expertise in database design, data warehousing, data lakes, and governance practices.
  • Proven experience in ETL, data integration, and ensuring data quality.
  • In-depth understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and data pipeline optimization.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, encryption, identity management, and access control in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2 compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in Azure PaaS services (Logic App, Function App, App Service, Key Vault, Containers).
  • Strong background in performance monitoring, identifying bottlenecks, and adjusting cloud solutions efficiently.
  • Ability to drive collaborative decisions, resolve conflicts, and ensure follow-through.
  • Exceptional presentation skills for engaging with executives, IT leaders, and developers.
