Experience Level: 4+ years of experience in Cognos, Power BI Platform Administration, with a minimum of 4 plus years focused on the specified technologies.

A current or recent US Government security clearance is highly preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Platform Administration & Maintenance:

Serve as the subject matter expert for the administration of Tableau Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Lead and perform the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the BI platforms, including applying patches, upgrades, and hotfixes.

Manage content migrations and deployments across different environments (e.g., dev, test, production).

Oversee backup and recovery strategies for Tableau Server content, the SSISDB catalog, and SSRS databases.

Security & Governance:

Manage user authentication, authorization, and security roles across Tableau, SSIS, and SSRS.

Enforce strict security protocols, data access controls, and compliance standards in line with US defense customer requirements.

Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of the platforms.

Work closely with security and IT infrastructure teams to ensure all regulatory and contractual security obligations are met.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

Proactively monitor the health, performance, and resource utilization of Tableau Server and the SQL Server instance hosting SSIS and SSRS.

Perform platform-level performance tuning to ensure optimal speed and availability.

Troubleshoot and resolve platform-level performance bottlenecks and infrastructure-related issues.

Support & Troubleshooting:

Act as the primary technical escalation point for all high-severity platform-related incidents.

Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts for recurring platform problems.

Collaborate with BI developers and IT infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues impacting BI services.

Technical Collaboration:

Provide expert-level recommendations for platform improvements and new technology adoption.

Serve as a mentor and resource for other team members on administrative best practices.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all administrative procedures and configurations.
