Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Software Implementation Project Manager to lead a key software implementation project from planning through to completion. This individual will be the central point of coordination, overseeing the entire process of integrating and deploying a new software system within the organization. The Project Manager will ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standard.
This is a leadership role that requires a blend of technical project management expertise and strong interpersonal skills to navigate a multi-stakeholder environment, including business users, technical staff, vendors, and other government partners.

Responsibilities

Scope of Work & Key Responsibilities Project Planning and Execution • Develop, maintain, and execute a detailed project plan, tracking all timelines, milestones, and key deliverables, incorporating plans developed internally or by partner vendors. • Manage the project scope, identifying and addressing potential changes through effective change management practices. • Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks and resolve issues that may impact success. • Monitor project progress against the established timeline and budget, taking corrective action when necessary. • Prepare and deliver clear, consistent status reports to Metro leadership. Stakeholder and Client Relationship Management • Act as the primary liaison and point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the implementation process. • Lead regular project meetings to discuss project progress, facilitate discussions to drive decisions, ensure clear communication across all teams, and manage expectations. • Understand client business needs and translate them into effective software configurations. Technical Oversight • Oversee all phases of implementation, including system configuration, data migration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). • Collaborate with technical teams to address challenges and ensure smooth integration with existing systems. • Oversee data migration and configuration processes to align with client requirements. Team Leadership • Lead and manage a cross-functional implementation team, including developers, consultants, and support personnel. • Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor team performance to achieve project goals. • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the implementation team. Training and Support • Oversee the delivery of user training materials and workshops to ensure end-user adoption of the new software. • Facilitate post-implementation support to address any issues or questions from clients.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
• 3-5 years of proven experience managing large-scale enterprise software implementation projects from initiation to completion. • Strong command of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. • Knowledge and experience in change management processes. • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to effectively interact with clients and technical teams. • General technical knowledge required for software implementation and systems integration.

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. • Experience with ERP or real estate management systems (e.g., Oracle). • Experience working within a government or public sector environment. • Organizational Change Management experience (e.g., ADKAR or other methodologies). • Solutions architecture experience.
