Job Title: DevOps Engineer (EKS/AWS)
Location: Remote (East Coast Only)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in EKS and AWS to support cloud migration initiatives, build pipelines, and drive automation across our DevSecOps ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience with EKS, Kubernetes, and AWS services, along with scripting, CI/CD, and security integration within DevOps pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute full lifecycle DevOps activities supporting multiple tools and applications.

  • Work closely with architects, lead engineers, and delivery teams to design and implement DevOps solutions.

  • Build and optimize applications using EKS, Kubernetes, and AWS best practices.

  • Plan and deliver roadmaps for EKS and AWS DevOps implementations.

  • Administer AWS console and manage EC2 instances hosting Cloudbees agents.

  • Build and enhance DevOps pipelines to support cloud migration efforts and improve DevOps/Product Maturity Index scores.

  • Integrate security tools such as ISTIO, Contrast, and Tidelift into DevOps pipelines.

  • Perform code reviews, compilation, unit testing, integration testing, and security scanning (e.g., SonarQube).

  • Automate manual processes to reduce team dependencies and increase efficiency.

  • Retrospect and document current implementations for future reference.

  • Participate in on-call rotations for production support.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of strong hands-on experience with EKS and Kubernetes (development focus; admin knowledge is a plus).

  • Solid hands-on expertise with AWS services (EC2, EKS, AWS console).

  • Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting.

  • Experience with DevOps/CI-CD tools: Cloudbees, BitBucket, SonarQube, Artifactory, Jira, Confluence.

  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD concepts, and CloudNative tooling.

  • Knowledge of ISTIO for service mesh and security integration.

  • Linux and Windows administration skills.

  • Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

  • Self-starter, quick learner, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Kubernetes administration experience.

  • Exposure to additional cloud security and governance tools (Contrast, Tidelift, etc.)
