Project Name:

  • Digital Services Digitization of Physical Records and File Management Support
  • Job Title: Records Coordinator

Scope:

  • Active File Management (AFM) provides digitization services and file management support, such as records indexing, sorting, filing and boxing across departments in the Government of Alberta (GoA) as part of the Technology and Innovation mandate to increase the availability of digital government services. To expedite the digital strategy, AFM needs to hire resources for digitization initiatives and other file management support across the departments wherein the project timeline varies depending on the volume of the records.

Duties:

  • Applying file classification structure and retention schedules to records
  • Records inventory / inputting data into spreadsheets or other templates using data entry tools
  • Indexing, sorting, filing and boxing of paper records
  • Verifying accuracy and completeness of data
  • Scanning and sorting file documents according to established guidelines
  • Lifting of up to 30 lbs. of weight of boxed records
  • Familiarization with Microsoft applications such as but not limited to MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word
  • Other duties as required.
