About us:
Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.
Join a world-class Product Design (UX) and Accessibility team responsible for connecting the guest to the product and UX team for key context and insights that better inform the design process. Here, we pride ourselves on designing tangible, inspiring and impactful solutions that serve our guests, team members and business. And we make sure that all of Target's Digital experiences, both in-store and online, are fully accessible to people with disabilities.
As a Product Designer, you'll support our purpose to help all families discover the joy of everyday life by bringing that to life across Target.com, Target apps and internal solutions that Target's employees & partners use on a daily basis by designing new digital retail experiences and the evolution of existing ones. You'll be well-positioned to make an impact as a member of a nimble, friendly and high-performing team operating at the heart of Target's growing digital business.
You'll support the full design process, from discovery and testing to handoff and quality assurance. You'll contribute to design deliverables with support from more senior product designers, including visual design and flows that are intuitive, elegant and provide value for our guests while accounting for a variety of scenarios. Leverage your ability to step back from interface design to think through guest tasks or journeys in terms of structure and information architecture. You'll advocate for consistency and restraint by actively utilizing and contributing to our design system.
You'll partner and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of UX designers, UX writers, engineers, product managers, QA staff, accessibility consultants, data analysts and UX researchers. Through this partnership, you'll learn to leverage data and guest insights to inform design decisions. You'll participate in guest research and learn to conduct your own with leadership from our UX research team. You'll partner with other teams across Target (apps, marketing, pricing & promotions, item, etc) to ensure cohesiveness in the guest experience.
We'll support you along the way with robust onboarding, as well as personal and career development, to help you grow as a strong Product Designer. The exciting part of retail? It's always changing!
