Senior Accounting Manager - AR/Sales Tax Specialist

CONTRACT OVERVIEW:

• Duration: 5 months
• Location: 100% Remote
• Rate: Competitive hourly rate based on experience

• Client: Leading automotive manufacturing company

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must-Have Skills:

• 5-10 years hands-on accounting experience
• Expert-level Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis)
• Account reconciliation and discrepancy resolution
• Accounts Receivable cycle management
• Sales tax accounting/compliance experience

Required Software Experience:

• SAP (required)
• Order Management Systems
• Databricks or similar data platforms
• IREC or comparable accounting systems

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete AR cycle management: cash application, invoicing, collections
• Lead comprehensive sales tax payable reconciliation project
• Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end close processes and generate AR aging reports
• Analyze historical sales tax data and implement corrections
• Create documentation and provide project status reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5-10 years record-to-report accounting experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently
