You'll serve as a mechanical subject matter expert...guiding designs, reviewing contractor work, overseeing system commissioning, and ensuring the highest standards of performance, efficiency, and safety.

Must-Have Skills
  • 5+ years in mission-critical facility design and construction, with expertise in mechanical infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with MEP systems and construction safety procedures.
  • Experience designing, constructing, or commissioning at least one of:
  • Chilled water cooling systems
  • Air handling systems
  • Fire suppression systems
  • Plumbing systems
  • Underground dry/wet utilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
    Nice-to-Have Skills
    • Background in military, semiconductor, or power plant engineering projects.
    • Professional Engineering license or Master's degree.
    • Experience with mechanical cooling plants, modular assemblies, and mechanical design for production-scale builds.
    • Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn-open to junior candidates (2-3 years) with the right drive and aptitude.

    Day to Day Responsibilities
    • Lead and participate in mechanical design reviews at key project milestones (30/60/90/IFC) for chilled water plants, CRAC/CRAH units, HVAC systems, plumbing, fire suppression, and fuel oil systems.
    • Oversee on-site installation, QA/QC inspections, and commissioning (L1-L5) of mission-critical systems.
    • Collaborate with electrical, structural, and controls teams to ensure seamless MEP integration.
    • Review and approve RFIs, submittals, and change orders; ensure alignment with codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, IBC) and best practices.
    • Troubleshoot and validate mechanical systems, ensuring operational readiness and reliability.
    • Drive innovation in cooling technologies, system redundancy (N+1, 2N), and energy efficiency strategies.
